A Good Time Learning

Who says you can’t have fun while learning? A group of about 100 youth from Toronto Community Housing communities went on a trip to the Ontario Science and discovered that it is possible to have a good time learning science. The field trip, sponsored by Visions of Science, drew smiles, laughter and curiosity from youth as they interacted with an array of science-centred exhibits and installations.

How a 24-year-old is putting science in action

Eugenia Duodu talks about science education the way other young activists talk about human rights and the environment – passionately. She uses words like “awesome” and “amazing” to describe her work with Visions of Science, a 20-year-old organization founded to advance the career aspirations of young African-Canadians.
