Liam O'Donnell
is the award-winning author of over 23 fiction and
non-fiction children's books. A fan of science fiction from a very young
age, Liam's first book, System Shock, is a futuristic adventure set in a
virtual reality world of out of control video games. In addition to writing science fiction, Liam writes mysteries and adventure stories for a wide age range of young readers. He is the creator of the popular Max Finder Mystery series of 'you-solve-it' comics published by OwlKids. He has also developed educational radio plays for the BBC, written articles for adults and children for numerous national magazines, adapted TV scripts for Kids Can Press, and created original comics for A&C Black Publishers, Owl Magazine, Scholastic Canada, Stone Arch Books and Capstone Press. His latest graphic novel, Wild Ride, is the first in the new Graphic Guide Adventures series, published by Orca Books. Ramp Rats, the second book in the series will be published in the spring 2008. ![]() | Luanga Azikwe Nuwame , also known as 'Lue' and 'Lewis', is a 30-year-old
game designer residing in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and is a self
certified toy and game fanatic. Of Togolese (father) and Jamaican
(mother) decent, Luanga has been designing toys and games since age 11 and
has operated his own home-based game design firm for the past 7 years.
Luanga is president and founder of L.A. Nuwame Designs and www.lanuwame.ca. His company specializes in developing unique and innovative game concepts and customized novelty goods. Currently Luanga is developing a 'how to' series on game design and planning a teaching coarse on the same material. |

Peter Malone was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. As a youngster, Pedro lived in various parts of the Caribbean. At the age of 13, his family moved to Montreal, Quebec where he proceeded to attend high school. His post-secondary education was completed at Dawson College C.E.G.E.P. and Concordia University. Pedro graduated from Concordia in 1986 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Graphic Design. An artist in his own right, Pedro used his background as a stepping stone towards beginning a career in advertising. By 1992 he formed a partnership with a fellow artist to create Tepna-Wren and Associates, a boutique ad agency that specialized in pharmaceutical advertising. After 15 years in the industry, Pedro decided to make a career change. In 2000 he left the ad business for good. Having always had a passion for working with children, Pedro decided to volunteer at his eldest son's elementary school by teaching art. In 2004 he applied and was accepted to York University. There he acquired his Bachelor of Education. Pedro is now in his second year as a teacher with the Toronto District School Board. He teaches grade 4 and 5 at an elementary school in the Scarborough Area. Pedro lives with his wife Anne Marie and 2 sons, Evan and Alex in Toronto. |

Francine P. Lewis has had poems published in local magazines and short stories in Tales from the Wonder Zone: Odyssey, an anthology of science fiction for young people edited by Julie Czerneda, and DARK DREAMS: A Collection of Horror and Suspense by Black Writers edited by Brandon Massey. She has also written articles for the opera magazine, ARIAS. She has written one science fiction novel--which is still searching for a home--and is currently working on her second novel and first collection of poetry.
