To produce high quality graduates with well-developed skills and training in the theoretical, laboratory and field study aspects of the discipline of science and technology.
VoSNL intends to compliment this discipline base with skills that will enable African-Canadian youth to pursue successful professional, vocational, or general science-based careers, including science-education, and to meet the scientific demands of modern society.
VoSNL expects that African Canadian youth will develop internationally recognized strengths or will participate in high quality science and technology training and development.
These expectations will enable VoSNL to gain national recognition as an effective and productive science-based organization. VoSNL will gain further international recognition and develop strong and productive links and youth exchange programs with overseas partners.
VoSNL will develop awareness of African Canadian youth in environmental issues and increase their participation in the building of a safe, healthy, environmentally vibrant Ontario.
Ultimately, in assisting to develop and enhance these skills amongst African Canadian youth, VoSNL will help build not only a stronger more economically viable African Canadian community but in the long term contribute to a more productive and innovative Ontario economy.
