Who can apply?
A: Students currently in Grades 7–10 (entering Grades 8–11 in Fall 2025), enrolled full-time in middle or high school, who are part of Visions of Science’s STEM Journey programming and meet readiness requirements as outlined on the Eligibility & Selection page.
What kind of support do scholars receive?
A: Scholars receive financial aid, mentorship, academic support, leadership development, career planning, and community engagement opportunities.
Do I need top grades to qualify?
A: No! SVS values effort, leadership, and a commitment to learning over traditional academic measures. We are looking for students who are motivated and eager to grow.
Is there a cost to participate?
A: No, all secondary school programming is covered at no cost. Post-secondary students receive up to $30,000 per student (maximum of $7,500 yearly), which is designed to be complemented by available government aid and student income to help cover the full cost of education.
Can caregivers be involved?
A: Yes! We provide workshops and resources to help caregivers support their child's success.
